I am Jungdoo Lee please call Leo, that is my christian name but not the deep believer.
I am here Taiwan as exchange student from Korea, have been about 5 months. I am truly enjoying the life in Taiwan and the tasting of variety food I'v naver experienced.
"Just do it" the NIKE's slogan is same as my motto. I am making a life by the belife that if I've decided to do something without practicing myself, it couldn't be made anything and even particle change in my life. That's right I love to challenge eveything with even a marginal interest. Sometime, it makes me really busy and out of control but I also enjoy to solve and manage that.
Scuba diving is recently I am interested in. last month, I got a licence(PADI's AOW)in Malaysia. So, if there is person who is interested in Scuba diving or knows about the scuba diving club or community please share the information with me.
The purpose attending this class could be a preparing Toeic test and a making friends, add I DON'T have a girlfriend YET!! :) please feel free to talk with me KKK

ReplyDeleteIn my leisure time, I would like to watch TV. I think most people in Taiwan like to watch TV.
In 2009, there was a good TV series on 公視 named “Black & White”. In Chinese, we call it “痞子英雄”. But I didn’t watch it at that time. Until 2010, finally I figure out that it is really an interesting and exciting TV series. It really appeals to me. If you haven’t watched Black & White, you should try it.
In addition to Black & White, the other film I like is “Friends”. It totally has ten seasons but I have watched two of them. Before my graduation, I hope I could finish all of them. Again, if you haven’t watched it, try it! All videos of Friends all available for free at language center, second floor!
This class would be the last English class that I can take since I am going to graduate from college. As a result, I hope this class can be one of my good memory in my college life.

My name is Martias and I came from Indonesia. I'm the first year student of Management Information Department.
Actually I already studied for two years for undergraduate in my country, majoring in Chinese studies. I fell in love with Chinese language but I found that my interest was not in Chinese literally studies just like history, politic, poem, or literature. I was getting bored and decided to study abroad. At that time, I have two options whether to go to China or Taiwan, but after long discussion with my friends and my parents, also browsed information on internet, I chose Taiwan as my destination country.
Many people told me that I was wasting my time for took decision to study abroad. I already spent 3 years (2 years for university and 1 year for study in Chinese Language Center) just for study Chinese without getting any certificate which has the same qualification with university certificate. But I didn't care their opinion, because I found study abroad make me understand myself, others and treasure the beauty of life. I believe in what I do, and I know this is a best decision that I take for my present and future life.
This is the short introduction of myself and once again, nice to meet you guys and hope we enjoy study together and knowing each other for this semester.

I live in Tungshin Town Taichung county. It’s far away from school. It’s takes me about an hour from my home to school.
Tungshin is a traditional Hakka place, and I am a Hakka.
Tungshin has plenty of various fruits, such as pears, oranges, persimmons, so Tungshin called the hometown of fruits. Although it has a variety of fruits are delicious, but I don’t like fruits...
My personality is easy-going, enthusiastic and humorous, I am the standard Gemini.
I like sports, such as badminton, volleyball, jogging, etc… and on weekends I would like to go hiking, biking, sometimes I enjoy playing Mahjong with my friends.
My hobbies are watch TV, go to the movies and listen to English pop songs, so I listen to ICRT every day, even though I don’t understand what they said sometimes, ha~

I have finished half of the series, and there is still another half waiting for me to laugh through^^. Six unique and interesting characters in the show is the main reason that makes 'friends' a triumphant TV series.
Besides enjoying the show, I also likes to travel. I have seen a few exchange students in our class, I hope I have a chance to be an exchange student in the future while I was in post graduate school. Therefore, improving my English skills will be an important task this year. I have learned a lot in Advanced English class last year, so I really look forward to the new lessons in Advanced English class this year.

If I have free time, I like to play softball and baseball.
when I was child, my father always take me to everywhere play the ball game.
So I have great interest on it.
But I never want to be a professional player,the physical environment in Taiwan is too bad.
If I can not be the top plyer, I will be unemployed.
My English skill,just like conversation and writing, is really so poor, but I will keep trying and do my best in English.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Wei-Ting Chen or you can call me Eason because it's my favorite singer's name.
I gratuated from National Cheng-Chi University many many years ago, that's why I am older than most of you in this class, and maybe I am even older than the teacher. I majored in Public Administration, but don't ask me about it because I am not familiar with it. After graduation, I worked as an administrative assistant in a hair salon, and then a public relations company. During those times, I met many actors, actresses and other public figures like 鄭元暢, 呂秀蓮 and 陳水扁. The work was interesting but it also made me realize that it's not the life style I want and there are many things like time and health that money can't buy. That's why I come back to school and prepare for the National Examination.
Then, talk about my hobbies, I like to go internet surfing , watch TV and movies, and go singing with my friends. Besides these, I am good at playing Billiard. I have played it for more than ten years. In my college life, I was the founder and leader of the Billiard Club. At the same time, I won the championship in the campus competition. Now I am my friends and some high school students' instructor, so if you are also interested in playing billiard or want to know how to play, you can contact with me after class. And of course, free of charge!
Finally, I was a little bit resistant to studying English before. But in order to practice and improve my English ability, I choose to attend this Advanced English class, hope I can share the pleasure of learning English with all of you, thank you.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Cheng-Li. Since the University ,i’ve been living in taichung city for seven years.
After university degree, i did my military service on matsu.Now, i am a second year master student in the forestry research institude. My research is the life cycle assessment of biofuels. The mainly courses is estimated the Environment benefit between biofuels and fossil fuel.
Extracurriliar time, i love to Outdoor exercises. I used bicycle travel around Taiwan coast with friends,that spend 10 days with 1,076 km. It’s very tired but also lots of fun. Last summer, the new experience is scuba diving. The location is a small port in Kenting. Moreover, i am a number of tennis team.
Hope i can increase my english skills through this class,especially reading and writing.And wish we will get great time during this semester.

I came from Taipei to study in National Chung Hsing University.
Taipei is an advanced city, so there are many wonderful places.
I graduated from Chinese Culture University where is closed to Yangmingshan.
Yangmingshan is a national park, so there are many wildlife, plants, and nice scenes.
In addition, the atmosphere condition is much better than Taichung.
Now, I am the graduated student in department of forestry.
I think that I'm an easygoing person and get well with my family and friends.
I have a lot of different kinds of hobbies, such as listen music, reading and so on.
However, doing exercise is my favorite one.
During the long vacation, I like outdoor recreation in that people can look on the environmental amenities.
I hope to increase the ability of listening and speaking for TOEIC.

Hello, everybody. My name is Po-Chuan Chiang, the English name is “Fisher”. My majer subject is physics. I studies the fourth grade in Chung Hsing University. I come from Taipei, and my family live in Taipei now. They are my parents and a sister. My mother attached great importance to family education. Although our life is free, we live with highly disciplined. My parents educated me to be a modest man instead of pride man from childhood. The more I grow up, the better that I fill. Not only affected by family education, I’m also affect by school education. In NCHU, I ever entered two clubs, the Recreational Services Club and the Faith-Hope-Love Club. In the Recreational Services Club, we often hold some activities to service others, who are the long-distance students. Even if I joined the activities, I couldn’t understand the meaning of service. At that time, I recognized the fellows at the Faith-Hope-Love Club. Through some time to got along, I found they are really understand how to love and give loves. And I know, for me, nothing is more appealing to me than love when I was young. So I am a Christian now, and I enjoy my life. My hobbies are dance and sing. When I was young, I have been performing on stage.
In addition, I like to watch movies. It can inspire my mind. Just like “ Hear me. ” This movie is succeed to catch my heart.
Moreover, I also like outdoor recreation, such as mountain climbing, bicycle riding, and so on. Kenting National Park is my favorite place. I go to there once a year on average.
I had taken a trip with China’s students, about twenty person, whose came from different colleges. That trip we experienced a lot of wonderful memory. I make many friends.

I major in MIS(Management of Information System).
But, there is a huge difference between my major and my interest.
So, what may be my favorite thing during my free time?
Sometimes it will be singing, but the other time it must be reading.
I really enjoy the time when I read fiction and comics.
Since I was 8, I started reading Chivalric fiction novels.
And I totally finished reading "金庸's Chivalric fiction novel" when I was 11. I'm very proud of it until today:p
I feel my life is consummated when I read a book which is really touching.
I think one of my personalities is always being honest to myself.
Integrity is a critical factor to build a whole me because I can hardly bare things that are guilty.
Now I am a volunteer of the counseling center. I wish I cOuld do my best to help people in need.
I thought when everyone could do what they should do, the world would be better.

It’s a academic field training interested people into national manager and analyst to handle many problems in Taiwan. It’s also crossing different areas ranging from E-government, watershed management to disaster emergency, or stuff like that. During the period to get basic abilities to become a good analyst, I experience many tough trouble no matter in mental or physical. After overcoming those embarrassed situation，I learned how it’s significantly important to communicate and get anyone in the same standing together to copy with the common problem we encounter. I also earn skills, such as leadership, the ability to drawing up a delicate strategy and communication. Taken as a whole, anyone want to be a excellent somebody, it must go the road less traveled.

ReplyDeleteWell, I lived in Taiwan city for 22 years, and there are some amazing experiences make me a great person. Sometimes these experiences were caused from family and school. Because my family education gave me an optimistic, peace-loving, and down-to-earth personality, and thank for these features, they helped me toward the better life experiences!
It is also these “normal” characteristics that remind me what should I learn from the college and which should I choose from the future work.
That is why I choose the management field to learn. When you learn more about the management, you must know something deeper about people. And do you still remember how the words describe me? This is the reason why I intended to change my major and am pursuing a Master degree of International Relations.
I have been interested in reading and listening to music. Playing tennis and go jogging are also my hobbies of mine. Outdoor activities not only make me healthier, but also help me make lots of friends. If you want to find a partner in athletics, don’t forget me.

ReplyDeleteI major in International Politics. It is an interesting field because it concerns peoples and cultures through the world. The scope and complexity of theses groups’ interactions make international politics a challenging subject to master.
Generally speaking, I’m always energetic and responsible. That’s my strongest personality.And in my leisure time, I like listening to music, watching movies, and having sports, including swimming, dancing and roller-skating. They are my favorite hobbies.
Finally, I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.

I ‘m a girl full of adventure! I am planning to have a bungee jumping when I have time. And I also like to play exciting amusement facilities. I can say that I’ve played every exciting amusement facility in Taiwan!
I play volley ball in my leisure time. I’m one of our department team. When I practice volley ball with my teammate, I feel very happy. We all have the same goal and we do our best to achieve the goal. I like that feeling!

In my free time, I like to read books ,play the piano ,shop, listen to the music；especially classical and rock music. When I am in a good mood,¸ I listen to the classical music.On the contrary, I listen to the rock music. Recently, I find some good songs named ”end of me ‘by Marion Raven,”4ever” by the Veronica, and”when you say nothing at all” by Ronan Keating. They are not new songs, but I really want to recommend them to you. By the way, I like to sing. When I am a senior high school student, I act as the soprano in a chorus. I think it is a memorable experience for me.

Sorry to be so late to post my introduction… Cause I didn’t know until TODAY! But I still want to say HELLO to everyone here and in class.

And, my major is MIS, management information system, senior. But all the things that I am interested in are rarely close to my major! Things that attract me are especially literature and cats!
About literature, my favorite author is Murakami Haruki (村上春樹). All his works are full of imagination but still in reality. The world he made deeply catch me and the little, unknown girl in me!
And about the cat, I have my own lovely one. Her name is mimmi. The cute big eyes, the innocent face, and the warm fluffy body, all these make me kissing and hugging her every day and night. Sometimes I even feel that she is a little human-baby I have, but she would never grow up. Ha!
Besides my mimmi, I “kidnapped” a kitty down my apartment recently. I took her home and to the veterinary to make sure that she was health. I also posted adoptive articles on websites and PTT to find the one who will love her, want to live a life with her, and most important, be willing to take responsibilities to take care of her rest life! Fortunately, she got one! Now she lives in feng chia with her new host. Inevitably, sometimes I feel sad about separating with her, but as soon as I think that a stray kitty now have a home and the one who loves her, I am just so happy for her and so glad the I can play a role like this in her life!

I come from Macao, Macao have many good food, I always think of these delicious snack very much. Macao also has many historical sites, although is a little small, but is also a very good place.

ReplyDeleteHello my name's Cylder. I'm honored to have the chance for the walk-in today and glad to meet you here. I've been staying abroad for 4 years in a country of democracy, which is Taiwan. My major is Foreign Language and Literature, one of the departments at NCHU, which is the college that I was studying in. During my four collegiate years, I've gained abundant of working experience. As you can see in my resume, beyond tutoring English as my major skills, I'd also worked for my professor as an assistant to Editor-In-Chief in a publication for 3 years. What's more, I've a translation-related job when I was a senior. In that company, I get to translate papers, letters, catelogs in all aspects including scientific field, engineering spare parts, trading industry, and so on.
I'm keen and diligent, most important of all, a quick learner. I love travelling, so far the countries I have been to are S'pore, Taiwan, Japan, and America. I'm enthusiatic in work, team, language and culture. Learning the diversity of tribes and nationalities could be the aim in my entire lifetime. ReplyDeleteI come from Kaohsiung; it is a seaport on the southwestern plain of Taiwan. I love walking on the beach in Cijin(旗津) with beautiful sun set, it would be better if I can have some beers and BBQ Squid.
Music is one of the important things in my life. Since I was a little girl, I loved to perform in front of the adults. The dream to stand on the stage never disappears as time goes by. Every time I watched the TV shows, I speak to myself that I will be there someday. The dream came true in 2009, though just few months, but I appreciated having the chance to prove that I can do it!
Now I learn how to make a film in deer film studio, which is just located at 1F in the language center. If anyone of you interested in this, I will very glad to share with you.
